Disney, may I have a little talk with you?

to be honest, after reading the most of the novels and looking at how Disney was portraying the characters, I can honestly say Disney did the novels a HUGE favour. While there are the obvious problems, they removed annoying tropes like Carter being another angsty "my family is dead and life has zero meaning so I must be extra manly to make up" hero, and Dejah being a scientist and making her an upfront badass rather than a swooning mary-sue who suddenly remembers how to fight the second Carter shows up really helps her character (plus as sexy as no clothing only jewels would be, the outfit designs looked pretty cool!). And then there's the racist undertones with all the races n'stuff that Disney managed to keep clean with the red Martians and green Martians is impressive. Give it a few more years or so and maybe Netflix, Hulu, HBO or something will make an animated series that keeps out the annoying clichés and keep it interesting at the same time
